Cristina Santiago

Introducing our first featured gymnast: Cristina Santiago!

Cristina is a 14 year old level 7 gymnast, training at Ace Gymnastics in Longwood, Fl. Her dedication to gymnastics has her traveling almost an hour each way to get to practice, as she works out 20 hours a week.  As busy as she is with gymnastics, she still manages to be an honor student in the 8th grade!

Favorite event: Beam.  Her beam coach is former Olympian and World  Team Member Joan Moore Gnat!

Cristina loves beam because she loves to dance, do poses, and especially front tumble.  She even helped choreograph both her beam and floor routines. Although Bars hasn’t been her strongest event, Cristina still  finished 4th at her state meet. What a huge accomplishment!

Outside of gymnastics, she likes to swim and do art. She has even had several school art projects entered into competitions! At the young age of 14, Cristina has already overcome challenges and achieved many successes, and that is why she is a Jumptwist Music Star!
